  Human brain and culture may influence human language. How do you think about the relationship between thought and language?

  看到题目之后先要捕捉关键词,你捕捉到了什么?是不是culture,language, thought这三个词?

  捕捉成功之后,我们就要思考,我们知识库里面哪个方面可以回答这三者之间的关系?好好想想,好好思考一下,到底是谁提出了相关的理论或者内容?是不是Sapir-Whorf假说里面的内容!

  OK!到此为止,我们看到这个短短的两句话题目就不用慌张!因为找到理论可以回答题目了!

  回答题目的时候,首先我们要把理论列出来!这个假说是什么内容呢?

  Sapir-Whorf hypothesis suggests that our language helps mold our way of thinking and different languages may probably express speaker’s own ways of understanding the world. The hypothesis has two important points, linguistic determinism——language may determine our thinking patterns and linguistic reality similarity between language is relative, the greater their structural difference is, the more diverse their conceptualization of the world will be.

  后期分化为两个版本,也要交代一下。

  Later, two versions of the Sapir-wharf Hypothesis have been developed, a strong version and a weak version. The strong version of the theory emphasizes the decisive role of language as the shape of our thinking patterns. The weak version is a modified type that there is a correlation between language, culture, and thought, but the cross-cultural differences thus produced in our ways of thinking are relative, rather than categorical.

  之后,我们也要有自己的思考和内容,这个可以因人而异,但是还是要体现出自己的想法!

  From my point of view, Sapir-Whorf hypothesis has provided us a clear relationship among language, thinking, cognition even culture, and its development is also persuasive, while it still has its limits. For one thing, according to its linguistic determinism, we can more clearly understand the relationship between different languages and the overall character and thinking patterns of different people. For another, based on its linguistic relativity, learners could make use of the similarities between two languages to compare and contrast, then to better understand the structure and the culture behind the language.

  后,如果还想让大题更加完整,可以拓展一下其他人得评价或者给出得评论,这个地方需要大家各自去思考,当然,北鼎的学子也都会从老师那里学到答题套路。

  As for the limits, in my opinion, it is still a hypothesis instead of a mature theory, thus to a great extent this theory could be seen as a false one because it lacks enough evidence to verify how language determines a person’s thinking patterns and what degree it could determine. Moreover, it is kind of rigid. There are many factors influencing a person’s language development (language environment, gender, age, social class, etc.) thus it is hard to define that language itself has the correlation among culture and thought.

  不管题目类型是什么样子,我们都要在时间对关键词敏感,捕捉到合适的关键词;之后结合自己的知识理论体系,找到契合的理论,开始交代理论,并发表自己的看法;在后结尾的时候,可以加上一些其他研究者们对这个理论的应用或者评价,那这样一道题目的回答就浑然天成了!
